Nepal records 3,403 new COVID-19 cases, 42 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley records 993 new cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 3,403 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, out of the 11,839 people who underwent tests through the RT-PCR method, 2,613 persons tested positive for COVID-19 while 790 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 42 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

The Kathmandu Valley recorded 993 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.

Out of them, 711 were detected in Kathmandu, 160 in Lalitpur, and 122 in Bhaktapur districts.

Meanwhile, 2,104 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
