Restored HoR’s sees 15 ordinances on the first session



KATHMANDU: The first session of the restored parliament has witnessed 15 ordinances including the ones related to Amendment of the Oath of Office 2021, Railway Ordinance 2021 and other ordinances on Sunday.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, on the behalf of the Prime Minister, tabled the ordinances at the meeting.

Similarly, ordinances related to Drugs (third amendment)-2021, COVID-19 Crisis Management-2021, Health Workers and Health Institutions Security (first amendment) were tabled at the meeting.

Likewise, Minister for Home Affairs Balkrishna Khand tabled the ordinance related to Social Security (first amendment) 2021, Nepal Police and Province Police Work Execution, Monitoring and Coordination (first amendment)-2021, Acid and Other Hazardous Chemicals (Regulation) Ordinance-2021 and Nepal Citizenship (first amendment)-2021.

Similarly, Minister Karki tabled the ordinances related to Enforced Disappears, Investigation, Truth and Reconciliation Commission (third amendment)-2020, Ordinance to Amend Some Laws Against the Sexual Abuses-2020 and Ordinance related to Amend Some Acts on Criminal Abuse and Criminal Codes-2021.

Similarly, Minister for Finance Janardan Sharma presented the Economic Ordinance-2021, Appropriation Ordinance-2021 among others.

On the occasion, Speaker Agni Sapkota had informed that the Constitutional Council (function, duties, rights and procedure- first amendment), Ordinance-2020 was scrapped from the President.
