Opposition to stay vigilant: UML lawmaker Gyawali

KATHMANDU:  CPN-UML lawmaker Pradeep Gyawali has said that his party would keep watch over moves of the incumbent government led by Nepali Congress by staying in the opposition.

Addressing the second session of the House of Representatives (HoR) Sunday in which Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba tabled a vote of confidence motion, Gyawali said they would keep track of the Deuba-led government’s performance. He added they would be cooperative opposition that would not turn down the ordinances tabled by the government.

Gyawali said they would criticize the government only when needed and not otherwise. He also warned they would not acquiesce if the government tried to reverse good works carried out by the former government led by UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli.
