Relief goods dispatched to Melamchi area



BHAKTAPUR: Relief materials worth more than Rs 2 million have been dispatched for distribution to the flood and landslide victims in Melamchi area of Sindhupalchok district.

NCP (UML)’s leader and former minister Mahesh Basnet has send a team of the Youth Association Nepal to Melamchi area along with the relief materials.

Basnet is also the In-charge of the Association. The assistance includes food stuff, various medical goods including medicines and logistics materials.

The relief materials would be distributed to the flood and landslide affected needy families in Melamchi and Helambu.

The relief goods were collected at the initiatives of Basnet, who is also the outgoing lawmaker from Bhaktapur.

Relief materials worth Rs 500 thousand were collected from Bhaktapur alone while the same worth around Rs 2 million was collected from various organisations in other districts.
