JSP district committee member arrested with pistol

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested an Udayapur District Committee member of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) with a pistol.

According to police, the arrested is JSP’s District Committee member Parshu Ram Chaudhari.

Chaudhari has been arrested with an automatic pistol made in USA, informed DSP Bed Prasad Gautam of District Police Office, Udayapur.

Chaudhari is a former Maoist combatant. He had joined the JSP from January-February 2021.

Police said they are investigating the case.
