Home Minister Badal holds talks with UML leader Nepal



KATHMANDU: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa “Badal” – the CPN-UML candidate in the by-election of the National Assembly to be held two days later — has held talks with senior party leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Home Minister Badal is contesting from the UML in the National Assembly by-election to be held in Bagmati Province on May 20.

Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress, CPN Maoist Center, and the Janata Samajbadi Party have fielded Khimlal Devkota against Badal.

UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel has already issued a whip to the people’s representatives of Bagmati Pradesh on behalf of the party to cast their votes for Badal.

The Maoist Center, meanwhile, has issued a whip to vote for Devkota.
