Pandey files candidacy from opposition alliance in Lumbini



BUTWAL: Dirgha Narayan Pandey has registered his candidature from the opposition alliance for the by-election of the National Assembly under Lumbini on June 30.

According to sources, Pandey has given his candidature from the alliance of Nepali Congress, CPN-Maoist Center, Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) and Rastriya Janamorcha.

Pandey, who won from CPN-UML, had resigned from the province assembly of Lumbini.

Filing his candidature, he claimed that his victory has been ensured.

The ruling UML has decided to field Chandra Bahadur Khadka for the post.
