KATHMANDU: A by-election has to be held in the place of Ram Bahadur Thapa “Badal” who has lost his seat in the National Assembly.

According to the National Assembly Member Election Act 2075 BS, if the term of office of a NA member remains vacant for more than six months, by-election should be held within 35 days of vacancy.
