NC holding Central Committee meeting today

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) party is holding its Central Working Committee meeting on Sunday afternoon.

The meeting to be held at the party’s central office in Sanepa at 2 pm today is scheduled to discuss the preparations for the 14th general convention, extension of active membership, and the current political developments.

The NC had earlier instructed its district working committees to complete the work of active membership by April 12.

However, districts including Sindhupalchowk have not yet received the forms for active distribution.

The NC party had earlier called a meeting of the Central Committee on April 12. The meeting was postponed after the death of the brother of party senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel.

According to the chief secretary of the party, Krishna Prasad Poudel, the central committee meeting to be held today will particularly discuss the political developments in the country.
