No-confidence motion to be tabled in a week: NC leader Koirala

BIRATNAGAR: Nepali Congress General Secretary Dr. Shashank Koirala has said a motion of no-confidence will be tabled against the government led by Prime Minister KP Oli in the House of Representatives (HoR) within a week.

Koirala said so while talking to the media at Biratnagar Airport Thursday.

He told reporters a NC-led coalition government with the CPN-Maoist Center and Janata Samajbadi Party would form.

“We need to search an alternative to KP Oli. He (Oli) pushed the country towards turmoil by dissolving the HoR, which was an illegal and unconstitutional move. We are in talks with various political parties, and will table a motion of no-confidence within a week or so,” said Koirala.
