CCMC recommends cabinet to resume Nepal-India transport

KATHMANDU: The COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) has sent a proposal to the Council of Ministers to resume transportation between Nepal and India.

Talking to Khabarhub, Khagaraj Baral, the secretary at the CCMC, said the cabinet has been recommended to operate the transportation between Nepal and India via previous 13 routes.

According to Baral, passengers have to produce a negative PCR test report conducted within 72 hours before boarding the vehicle and comply with the health safety measures during the travel.

The transportation between Nepal and India have not resumed since the Nepal government imposed a nationwide lockdown to curb COVID-19 on March 24, last year.
