Deuba urges NC to wait for SC’s verdict on House dissolution case

POKHARA: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged people and his party to wait for the Supreme Court’s decision on the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

Speaking at a program in Pokhara on Thursday, Deuba said that since the issue of dissolution of the parliament is sub judice in the court, no political party should try to dictate the court for or against the dissolution of the House.

“To tell you the truth, NC does not want to hit the streets. Moreover, we don’t have enough funds,” he said adding, “Even active members of the Nepali Congress would not come even if asked them to hit the streets.”

Deuba said he did not want to make any comment on the issue that would influence the court.

“I will, however, accept the SC’s verdict,” he said urging all to wait for the verdict.
