POKHARA: Senior leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the NC party should oppose the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Labeling the dissolution as undemocratic, unconstitutional and dictatorial, Poudel urged all party leaders not to speak in favor of elections.

Poudel said that the election would be meaningful only if democracy and the constitution are protected.

Addressing a meeting in Pokhara today, Poudel said that NC has been protesting Prime Minister KP Oli’s unconstitutional move of dissolution of the HoR.

“People all over the country are agitating to defend democracy and the constitution,” he said criticizing NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba for speaking in favor of election.
