Nepse increases by 25.23 points on Thursday

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased by 110 points this week.

The index started trading at 2526.92 points on Sunday, the first day of the week and closed at 2636.68 points on Thursday.

On Thursday alone, the index has increased by 25.23 points. A total of 196.46 million shares of 206 companies were bought and sold 90,200 times today, resulting in a turnover of Rs 8.76 billion.

The sub-indices of non-life, microfinance and life insurance groups have declined by 50.3, 28 and 109.73 points respectively, while the sub-indices of all other groups have increased. The sub-index of the largest trade group increased by 72.92 points.

NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) has the highest individual scrip turnover of over Rs. 560 million. The shares of Civil Bank Limited (CBL) traded the most.

A total of 8 companies have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today. Meanwhile, Mirmire Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MMFDB) lost the most.
