Farmullah Mansur elected NC joint general secretary from Muslim cluster



KATHMANDU: Farmullah Mansur has been elected as the joint general secretary of the Nepali Congress (NC) from the Muslim cluster.

Farmullah defeated Sheikh Wakil to clinch the post after the counting of votes concluded on Friday. The NC Election Committee said Farmullah received 2,776 votes against Wakil’s 1,871 votes.

Newly elected NC Joint general secretary Farmullah filed candidacy from NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s panel while Wakil from Shekhar Koirala’s panel.
