Nepse increases by 16.95 points today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has increased by 16.95 points on Wednesday.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 2801.52 points.

A total of 11.94 million shares of 224 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 7.37 billion.

Shares of banks, businesses, hotels, hydropower, finance, microfinance, and other groups increased today.

Shares of development banks, insurance, manufacturing, investment, and mutual fund groups declined.

The highest number of shares of Nepal Telecom worth Rs 586.8 million has been bought and sold. Shares of Panchakanyamai Hydro, Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower, Manushi Microfinance, and Tehrathum Power Company increased by 10 percent today.

Despite the rise in the overall market, the shares of Bottlers Nepal and Mahalakshmi Development Bank have declined by about 7.5 percent.
