Meeting between Nepal Bar advocates and SC Justices underway



KATHMANDU: A meeting between the Justices of the Supreme Court (SC) and the office-bearers of the Nepal Bar Association are holding a meeting.

Advocate Ishwari Prasad Adhikari has informed that the meeting is dwelling on stalemate of the Supreme Court.

Lawyers of the Nepal Bar have been staging demonstrations demanding resignation of Chief Justice Rana saying that he failed to maintain dignity of the Supreme Court.

Similarly, the Supreme Court Justices are upping the ante against Rana boycotting benches.

The Supreme Court Justices and advocates of Nepal Bar had held a meeting on Tuesday, also.

They have been demanding Rana’s resignation saying that he demanded share in ministerial portfolios among other constitutional organs.
