Madhav Nepal will return to UML after feeling homesick: Yogesh Bhattarai

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai has said that homesickness will compel CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal to return to the UML.

Speaking at a press conference held by Press Chautari Nepal Kaski chapter in Pokhara Friday, Bhattarai said leader Nepal would return to the UML sooner or later just like people who went abroad for employment but could not work and returned home feeling homesick. “The cadres and leaders of Unified Socialist are UML in their hearts and they will return to the mother party,” he claimed.

He added that he had strived to include leaders of the Unified Socialist in the UML.

Stating that though the dispute resolution task force was formed with Madhav Nepal’s consent and the 10-point unity agreement was also reached under his leadership, Bhattarai said leader Nepal broke away on his own without resolving disagreements in the party. “When there are disagreements, they should be amicably resolved but leader Nepal split the UML and formed his own party.”

Bhattarai also claimed that the UML would return to power again, stating this government is turning into a failure.
