UML sends details of 260 CC members to EC for updating info



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has forwarded details of its Central Committee (CC) members to the Election Commission (EC) for the purpose of updating information.

The UML central office sent the list of 260-member Central Committee to the EC Tuesday.

There were 264 members in the revived UML CC following the nullification of its merger with the Maoist Center. Of them, some died and some took on political appointments.

The party sent the list of 260 members to EC for updating details. Currently, the EC’s record shows only 203 members in the UML CC.

Meanwhile, the party is also preparing to take action against eight lawmakers elected through proportional representation on the basis of clarification sought earlier.
