Karnali CM Shahi preparing to rejig provincial cabinet

KATHMANDU: Karnali Province Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi is preparing to reshuffle the provincial cabinet.

The rejig will also have Nepali Congress (NC) and ‘floor-crossing’ UML lawmakers, according to Maoist Center Karnali parliamentary party (PP) chief whip Sita Nepali.

CM Shahi is holding discussion to re-arrange Council of Ministers in the province and is likely to make an announcement within a week. “The shuffle is being made on the basis of a new power-sharing in the province, keeping in mind latest political developments,” Nepali said.

CM Shahi is holding discussion on distribution of ministerial portfolios.
