Maoist Center Advisor Sherpa joins CPN-UML

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chair and Prime Minister KP Oli welcomed Prof. Shyam Sundar Sherpa, who was a member of the Central Advisory Council of the CPN (Maoist Center), into the party at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

On the occasion, stating the Maoist movement is not relevant any more, Sherpa claimed that Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ would return to the UML again. He charged that Prachanda’s attempts to overwhelm UML Chair Oli had backfired on himself.

Sherpa, who hails from Sankhuwasabha, was in the UML before 2007.
