Students protest against petroleum price hike

KATHMANDU: Price hike in petroleum products has already added ghee on fire for the groups protesting against the government’s dissolution of House of Representatives (HoR) and prompted them to come up with more protest programs.

When Nepal Students Union (NSU), a student organization close to Nepali Congress protested against the price hike on Wednesday morning, students close to Janata Samajbadi(JSP) protested ringing plates at Maitighar Mandala against the same in the afternoon.

The protestors chanted slogans against the government and demanded that the price hike in petroleum products should be withdrawn instantly.

The protestors also displayed empty gas-cylinders in the street.
