PM Oli accustomed to protecting corrupt people: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party of Nepal (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has come down heavily on Prime Minister KP Oli for protecting the corrupt.

He said Prime Minister Oli is accustomed to giving a clean chit to corrupt people.

“Instead of taking action against corrupt people, PM Oli has been protecting them despite his commitment against financial irregularities,” Prachanda said at a program in the capital on Sunday.

“PM Oli says he won’t tolerate corruption,” he said and ridiculed him for being a mute spectator when it comes to discouraging such practices.

He alleged PM Oli of “fooling people” in the name of good governance and zero-tolerance on corruption.

Prachanda also called Prime Minister Oli a bourgeois. “The bourgeoisie advertises well but labels well to sell rotten goods,” he said.
