Police arrest 11 Biplav cadres in Tanahun



TANAHUN: Police have taken 11 cadres of Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ in Tanahun district.

Eleven cadres were held while they were out in the streets trying to impose banda at Damauli this morning, informed DSP Yuba Raj Timalsina.

According to DSP Timalsina, district secretary Atom, Byas municipal in-charge Om Pant, district chairman of labor organization Himal Khadka, All Nepal Independent Students Union (Revolutionary) district secretary Shiba Sada Shankar among others have been arrested.

The Biplav-called Nepal banda organized as part of protest against price-hike of petroleum products has impacted in the district since morning today.

Vehicles have stayed off the road and market areas have remained closed due to banda, said police.
