Massive fire guts 20 houses in Gamgadhi



KATHMANDU: A massive fire, that broke out at Gamgadhi, the district headquarters of Mugu on Monday night, has gutted 20 houses.

According to Chief District Officer Rom Bahadur Mahat, the fire broke out in the middle of the night at Rarachhayanath municipality-1, Gamgadhi Bazaar.

“Security personnel with the help of locals are trying to extinguish the fire,” said CDO Mahat, adding, “Twenty houses have been destroyed.”

However, no casualties have been reported so far.

The fire caused a heavy loss due to the lack of fire engines. Security personnel are trying to extinguish the fire with the help of water and clay dust, shared Mahat.
