Kathmandu valley sees 961 coronavirus cases in 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu valley has witnessed 961 new cases of coronavirus in past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and population, Kathmandu got 677 new cases of coronavirus, Bhaktapur 117 and Lalitpur 167 of late.

The country recorded a total of 3,451 new cases of coronavirus while 2,458 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 2,566 were detected through RT-PCR method and 885 from antigen-method.

There had been 15,611 tests carried out in past 24 hours out of which 10,093 were RT-PCR tests and 5,518 were antigen.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 35 infected patients died of the infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 10,327 in the country.
