Share market in people’s best interest: FinMin Sharma



KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has said the share market is in people’s best interest.

Speaking at a program organized at the Finance Ministry Friday, he said that the share market has become an important and major source of revenue collection. However, he said he is studying and analyzing the status of the overall national economy and plans to present a white paper soon.

Investors have been awaiting the new finance minister’s moves and the monetary policy.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the share market contributed Rs 14 billion in revenue to the government in the last fiscal year.
