UML’s Madhav faction likely to attend SC meeting



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leaders of the Madhav Kumar Nepal faction are expected to attend Friday’s Standing Committee meeting.

They are likely to raise the issue of the 10-point agreement reached by the task force during the meeting, a party source said.

Leaders of the task force representing the Madhav Nepal faction are holding talks with Chairman KP Oli and General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel prior to the Standing Committee meeting.

Taskforce member Surendra Pandey said that they would first hold talks with Oli and Pokharel prior to the Standing Committee meeting.

According to Subash Nemwang, coordinator of the task force, the meeting with Chairman Oli was scheduled before the Standing Committee meeting at the request of the Madhav faction task force members.
