Nepal records 2,828 new COVID-19 cases, 52 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 499 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,828 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 2,014 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 814 have tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 354 persons in Kathmandu, 66 in Lalitpur, and 79 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 499 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 52 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 3,082 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
