Monsoon-triggered floods wash away 15 houses in Lamjung



BESISAHAR: Monsoon-triggered floods have swept away 15 houses located at Hile Bazaar in Dordi rural municipality of Lamjung district.

The floods in the Dordi river triggered by incessant rains on Tuesday evening washed away 15 houses, informed Dharma Gurung, the information officer of Dordi rural municipality.

According to him,  other households have been at risk in Hile Bazaar.

“The floods in Dordi River have swept away 15 houses and posed risk to some other houses, too,” said Gurung.

According to Gurung, the rescued food victims have been kept at the building of Phaleni Secondary School located on the upper part of Phaleni.

Over 100 houses have been affected by floods.
