Maoist Centre Chair Dahal urges govt to gear up for search and rescue



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has urged the government for the immediate search, rescue and relief of the citizens gone missing in flood and landslides.

Issuing a press release today, the former prime minister made a special appeal to the government to promptly carry out rescue and relief of the affected people and to make the relief works more effective.

He has also urged the party’s entire rank and file to be mobilized in an integrated manner in the rescue and relief of the flood and landslide victims.

Leader Dahal also called for immediately making arrangements for providing immediate compensation to the families of those who died due to the natural disaster, for stepping up efforts in the search of the missing people, and to provide free medical treatment to the persons injured due to the disaster.

Likewise, the Young Communist League Nepal, the youth organization of the party, has directed its members and cadres to involve in the search, rescue, and relief of the flood and landslide-affected. YCL Nepal Chair Ram Prasad Sapkota and general secretary Subodh Raj Sherpali made this appeal through a press release today.
