Nepal records 7,368 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 2,609 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 7,368 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 7,316 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 52 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 1,881 persons in Kathmandu, 436 in Lalitpur, and 292 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 2,609 in past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 6,648 persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.

According to the Ministry, 145 people have succumbed to COVID-19 related death in the past 24 hours.
