Senior gastroenterologist Dr. Acharya dies of corona infection

KATHMANDU: Senior gastroenterologist Dr. Ishwor Lal Acharya has died due to burns after corona infection.

According to Star Hospital, Dr. Acharya passed away around 2 am this morning at the hospital.

He was 83 years old and was admitted to the hospital on May 1 after testing coronavirus positive.

According to hospital sources, Dr. Acharya had 75 percent pneumonia in his lungs which seemed improving in the beginning but got worse all of sudden of late taking his life this morning.
