Veteran filmmaker Chetan Karki passes away



KATHMANDU: Veteran filmmaker Chetan Karki has passed away. He was 83.

Karki, who had been undergoing treatment at a military hospital for the past one week after contracting the coronavirus, passed away on Sunday morning, is family sources said.

Film director Karki remained active in writing poems, songs, stories, and novels, besides writing and directing films.

Syangja-born Karki has written several stories in Nepali, Hindi, and Urdu.

He is survived by his wife and two sons.
