Nepal, Khanal to boycott all-party meet called by President

KATHMANDU: Senior leaders of CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal will not be attending an all-party meeting called by President Bidya Devi Bhandari Tuesday.

President Bhandari Monday summoned a meeting of all parliamentary parties at 4 pm in Shital Niwas today.

All former prime ministers have been asked to attend the meeting.

However, senior CPN-UML leaders Nepal and Khanal, both former prime ministers, have decided to boycott the invitation.

According to sources, the leaders will not be attending the meeting as they are busy with preparations for a national conclave that is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.
