UML leader Gautam holding meeting of his group today



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Bam Dev Gautam is holding a meeting with party leaders close to him to expedite the party unification campaign.

The meeting to be held at a party palace in Bhalkhu at 11 am today will discuss Prime Minister KP Oli’s recent move to strip UML leaders of their responsibilities in the party.

Prime Minister Oli had on March 12 nominated 23 former Maoist Center leaders to the central committee of the CPN-UML, after taking actions against UML leaders in the party.

Gautam is continuing his unification campaign even after the Supreme Court restored the erstwhile CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center), scrapping their unification as the Nepal Communist Party.
