KATHMANDU: National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina on Saturday said court’s verdict on the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) would be final.

Stating that there were many comments on the subject that is sub-judice in the court, he said there is no point in commenting on the matter before the final verdict.

There is no alternative to go for elections if the court upholds the HoR dissolution or to reinstate the lower house if it annuls it, he said while inaugurating a suspension bridge that links Baglung Municipality to Kusma Municipality in Parbat district.

On the occasion, the Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment of Gandaki Province Bikash Lamsal said the bridge would help attract foreign tourists as well.

The bridge built over the Kaligandaki River is 567-m long. It was begun two years ago, and has been completed three months earlier the deadline. The project cost was Rs 69 million.
