KATHMANDU: Seven communist parties have announced unification to form Reorganized Nepal Communist Party (NCP) (Maoist Center) led by Bhabisor Parajuli.

Organizing a press conference at Reporters Club Nepal on Friday, the chairman of the newly announced Reorganized NCP (Maoist Center) Bhabisor Parajuli said the unification was announced at a time when the communists are being divided in the country.

“The Reorganized Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center) has been formed by reorganizing the then CPN (Maoist Center),” said Parajuli. He further said the party will give continuity to the ideology, goal and historical spirit of the Maoist movement.

Speaking on the occasion, communist leader Dalbir Bishwokarma termed the unification of seven communist parties ‘historic’ and vowed to fulfill its objectives by building the nation.

Similarly, advisor of the newly announced party Binod Acharya expressed belief that the reorganized party will create job opportunities so that no Nepali youths will have to go abroad for employment in the future.

The program had been coordinated by Bal Krishna Lamsal.
