Lottery system set to come into force in high and district courts from Jan 16, 2022

KATHMANDU: The lottery system is set to be introduced in the High and District Courts after its implementation at the Supreme Court (SC).

A Full Court meeting of the Supreme Court held Wednesday decided to schedule cases and hearings in the high and district courts through a lottery system from January 16, 2022.

The decision was taken by a Full Court meeting of SC judges. However, Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana was not in today’s full court meeting.

The lottery system came into effect at the apex court on December 1.
