NC Gen Convention: Vote count for vice president to start after 4 pm today

General Secretary's vote count on Thursday



KATHMANDU: Counting of votes for Nepali Congress vice presidency under the 14th General Convention will take place Wednesday.

NC Election committee member Sitaram KC said the counting of votes would start at the party office Sanepa after 4 pm Wednesday. The NC Election Committee is preparing to start counting votes of general secretary only after the new vice president is declared.

Sher Bahadur Deuba has been re-elected NC president and election results are out already.

According to results made public in the wee hours of Wednesday, Deuba garnered 2,733 votes against rival presidential candidate Shekhar Koirala’s 1855 votes.
