KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is celebrating the 27th Metropolitan Day by organizing various programs today.
The celebration will be organized at Basantapur with fanfare.
Senior artists will be honored during the program and good germanane journalism awards will be distributed to deserving journalists as part of the program, informed Ishwar Man Dangol, the spokesperson of the Metropolis.
The KMC had been announced as the metropolis on December 15, 1995.
Meanwhile, public holiday has been given to all 32 wards of the metropolis today.
