NEPSE decreases by 40.26 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has decreased by 40.26 points on Wednesday.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2889.03 points.

A total of 10.55 million shares of 222 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 5.35 billion.

Along with the market index, all sub-indices have declined. The biggest decline was in the finance company sub-index by 2.98 percent, followed by the hotel and tourism sub-index by 2.24 percent, the hydropower and development bank sub-index by 2.11 percent, and the non-life insurance sub-index by 2.05 percent.

Similarly, the market-leading banking sub-index also declined by 1.05 percent.

Arun Valley Hydropower had the highest turnover of Rs 20 million in the market due to the contraction in the transaction amount along with the market indicator.

Similarly, Sanima Life had a turnover of Rs 170 million, ICEFC Finance Rs 150 million, Rarang Hydropower Rs 140 million, and National Hydropower Rs 130 million.

Out of the total 185 companies traded in Nepse today, the share price of 172 companies has declined while the share price of only 11 companies has increased.

Similarly, the share prices of the two companies remained stable. Shares of Manakamana Smart Microfinance rose the most by 8.23 ​​percent, followed by Corporate Development Bank at 6.67 percent, Chyangdi Hydropower at 4.08 percent, and Mountain Energy at 1.97 percent.

Himalayan Energy Development Company fell the most at 5.53 percent, followed by Gorkhaj Finance at 5.41 percent, Ruru Hydropower Company at 4.84 percent, and Sindhu Development Bank at 4.46 percent.
