Nepal records 8,167 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley sees 2,937 fresh cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 8,167 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 8,167 people tested coronavirus positive when 18,548 swabs were tested in the last 24 hours.

In Kathmandu Valley, 2,146 cases have been detected in Kathmandu, 444 in Lalitpur and 347 in Bhaktapur. That puts Valley’s caseload at 2,937.

Meanwhile, 5,445  persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.

The Ministry shared that 187 new fatalities were added to the existing death toll from the coronavirus infection.

With the adjustment, the COVID-19 fatalities caseload has reached 4,856.
