Australia’s Ambassador presents her credentials to President Bhandari

KATHMANDU: Australia’s Ambassador to Nepal, Felicity Jane Volk on Monday presented her credentials to President Bidya Devi Bhandari, at an event organized at the Shital Niwas.

February 15 marks the 61 years of diplomatic relations between Australia and Nepal.

Ambassador Volk is the eleventh resident Ambassador to Nepal and fourth female Australian Ambassador to Nepal.

Ambassador Volk is a career diplomat of over thirty years of experience, including roles as Director of Australia’s Office of the Ambassador for Women and Girls and postings in Laos as Deputy Head of Mission and Bangladesh.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and other high level government officials were present on the occasion.
