Oli and Prachanda showing a kingly attitude: NC President Deuba

BHAIRAHAWA: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has alleged Prime Minister KP Oli and Chairman of the dissident faction of the Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” for showing royal attitude, even more than previous monarchs.

Addressing a protest rally in Bhairahawa against the dissolution of the House of Representatives on Monday, Deuba said the dispute between PM Oli and Prachanda was, in fact, for the sake of power.

“Prachanda said he would have faith in democracy. Then NC President Girija Prasad Koirala brought Prachanda from India, and elections to the Constituent Assembly were held in Nepal. However, Oli and Prachanda have started showing their bossy attitude now. They wrangled for the sake of power. We do not have hands in their fight,” Deuba said.

Deuba said while some NC leaders have been taking the side of PM Oli, some say Prachanda is right.
