85 percent delegates for UML’s 10th General Convention finalized



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has elected nearly 85 percent delegates for its 10th General Convention.

According to UML Central Publicity Department Chief Yogesh Bhattarai, 85 percent of the delegates have been elected from the constituencies, provinces, people’s organizations, departments, central offices and Nepali diaspora abroad.

According to Bhattarai, delegates have been elected in Darchula, Baitadi, Bajhang and Dadeldhura of the far western region, while the process of selection of delegates is underway in Kanchanpur, Kailali, Achham, Doti and Bajura.

UML had decided to have 1,999 delegates for the general convention to be held in Chitwan from November 26-28.
Office bearers of the Central Committee and the Central Commission automatically become delegates to the General Convention.
