Turkey extends condolences to Nepal over fatal bus accident



ISTANBUL: Turkey extended condolences to Nepal for a deadly bus accident that left more than 30 dead and nearly 20 injured.

“We are saddened to receive the news that 32 people lost their lives and 17 were wounded as a result of a bus accident in Mugu District in Nepal,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement, Anadolu Agency reported.

“We extend our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this tragic accident and to the friendly people and Government of Nepal and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”

The deaths and injuries occurred when a bus heading to Gamgadhi from the Mugu district fell Tuesday into the Pina Jhyari River in Chhayanath Rara.
