Three killed in Nawalpur bus-truck collision identified



KATHMANDU: The three persons who lost their lives in a bus-truck collision at Gaindakot Municipality-10 on the East-West Highway in Nawalparasi district on Tuesday morning have been established.

The deceased have been identified as Yogmaya Subedi, 70, of Bardibasgadh, Rangi Tiruwa, 40, and Krishna Rana, 35, of Kanchanpur, according to Dlip Kumar Giri, the information officer of the District Police Office (DPO), Nawalpur.

Giri informed that 20 among 24 injured in the accident are undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College. He said that the condition of three of the injured was critical.

The accident took place when a bus, Su. Pra. 02-001 Kha 1123, heading to Mahendranagar from Kakadbhitta collided head-on with a truck, Na 6 Kha 7126, coming from the opposite direction at Gaindakot this morning.
