Maoist Center Chair says MCC, Lipulek, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura issues should be resolved through diplomatic dialogue

KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that the issues like Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), Lipulek, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura should be resolved through diplomatic dialogue.

Presenting his political and organizational proposal at the Central Committee meeting of the party on Saturday, Prachanda remarked that the most debated issues like MCC and Lipulek should be resolved diplomatically.

“The serious issues like MCC, Lipulek, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura should be resolved at the earliest and they should be resolved through diplomatic dialogue,” Chairman Prachanda’s report stated.

Reviewing the formation and dissolution of the erstwhile Nepal Communist Party under KP Oli, Maoist Center Chairman’s report stated that although the formation of NCP was the right move for the unification of the communist movement in Nepal,  however, the movement reached faced crisis due to former Prime Minister Oli’s self-centrism, arrogance and abuse of power.

“Even though the unity between the then Maoist center and the UML was virtually right, the NCP disintegrated due to the arrogance, greed for power, surrendering to the alien forces and opportunism of KP Oli and his faction,” Prachanda’s document said.

The report concluded that the political scenario was again turning favorable to the movement Maoist Center stood for.
