PM Deuba reaches Koteshwor to meet senior UML leader Nepal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has reached senior UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal’s residence in Koteshwor Wednesday.

Deuba was appointed as the prime minister, in part, due to the support of the UML’s Nepal faction.

After the dissolution of the House of Representatives by former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the Nepal faction of the UML along with the Nepali Congress and the CPN-Maoist Center had formed the opposition alliance to counter Oli’s moves.

According to a source, Deuba is exploring alternatives to cooperate with Nepal though he is in opposition.

Cooperation with Nepal is still crucial to PM Deuba as he has to get a vote of confidence in the parliament.
